My path to Holistic Fertility

My name is Mariko Reilly, I am the founder of Kenko Osteopathy and Wellness, and I absolutely love what I do! As a Mercier Fertility Professional and Manual Osteopath, I apply hands-on techniques to help the body heal itself by optimizing its function.

I graduated from Brock University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people, but it wasn't until my time at Brock that I realized the impact and value of alternative healthcare. I first discovered Osteopathy as a client in Whistler, BC. After experiencing persistent low-back pain, a manual osteopath helped me find relief. I realized the remarkable response the human body has to this treatment, and I knew I had found my path.

While completing my Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice, at the National Academy of Osteopathy, I was introduced to Mercier Therapy and inspired with the purpose of assisting couples in their journey to become parents. I travelled to Chicago, IL, where Dr. Jennifer Mercier, the creator of Mercier Therapy shared her work with me. You could feel a true sense of compassion and care in the room. One particular moment in class I will never forget was when a fellow student shared that she hadn't menstruated in over 16 months. After three days of practicing technique with her, she had her period at the end of the week. It was a real life confirmation of how this work can truly impact the female reproductive organs and the entire fertility process.[More Success Stories]

After completing my specialization, I found myself leaving the GTA for love and landed in the beautiful rural community of Prince Edward County, Ontario. No place has ever felt more like home than here. The members of our community are kind, generous, and so welcoming. Currently, I work as a Manual Osteopath and Mercier Fertility Professional at my practice on Elizabeth St in Picton, and damn, I adore my work.

My mission is to create a space of sanctuary and wellness for women and their families.

Since beginning my work with Mercier Therapy, I've been blown away by the success of the protocol in helping women struggling with pelvic pain and infertility. There is nothing like receiving an ultrasound photo with a big thank you from an excited mom-to-be! I cannot wait to share more about that experience with you in my next post.

Kenko is a resource for women, offering support and education at all stages of their fertility journey. I am so grateful to continue to build a community with my practice and it is truly an honour to be of service to these women and their families.

I invite you to join me as I share more fertility stories here each month. Please reach out with any comments, questions, and concerns along the way.

All the best,

Mariko Reilly
